Forum Rules - Orcworm - 11-30-2011

1.- Write Clearly
No “1337 5p33k”, unless it's to make a point. No SHOUTING either, please. In case you're not good with English; please do your best, ask someone who knows or use a translator, since we're an international community, and therefore the official language is English. Also try to make your posts actually say something. Nobody benefits from one-word-posts nor from vaguely described ideas. So try to make your posts have at least 2 or 3 lines of text when possible. As for thread titles, don't use anything that might be offensive or mean, remember to make it meaningful as to what your thread is about. Vague titles are annoying to us and un-helpful to yourself, just like titles in “all caps”, and they will be deleted.

2.- Be Polite
Please remember that tone is hard to judge on the Internet, and that not everyone will welcome sarcasm or irony the same way. Please keep your trolling and flaming somewhere else; although we accept some slight trolling, any major troll will have his/her post deleted and his account banned. On the other hand, as a user you must be aware that we are an adult community, although many of our users are under-age, we discuss all and every topic, from religion to politics to sex. (In a civil way, of course.) If any of these topics make you uncomfortable, you should be aware to stay out of the “Off-Topic” section of the forum.

3.- Smilies and Post Formatting
If you must use smilies, use them sparingly — excessive smilies will get deleted or your whole post deleted, and posts that contain nothing but smilies are generally frowned upon. Do not use colours or large font sizes in your posts since they are reserved for the forum moderators, unless they may be essential for the purpose of conveying a message to the audience.

4.- Avatars and Signatures
Although everyone likes a good old stick-men fight, we'd rather not have something like that as your avatar, so if you really want to use a .GIF avatar, please make it colourless and easy on the eye. As for signatures, please keep them small, if you want an image go ahead, but make it small enough, specially it's height. This means that an signature may only contain either 4 lines of unspoilered text, images with a combined maximum height of 200px or 1 spoiler containing as much text/images as you want. Likewise avatars have a maximum dimension of 150x150px and size of 250kb. Forum staff is free to remove any signatures or avatars not conforming to these restrictions.

5.- No Spamming — Think and Read
Post a single idea/question/comment in only one forum. Do not double post, and instead edit your previous post if you have something new to add and no one has posted yet. Technical support requests may be bumped after a while in case they have been forgotten and sink past the first forum view page. Read the entire thread before replying to it. Nonsense may be deleted without warning, especially in a working topic. Also try not to post a subject that has already been discussed, or is currently being discussed. Finally, read the date of the last post before replying to it, necromancers will be warned and if they don't understand, banned shortly. As for quoting other posts, please only quote what you are referring to and remove images/movies from the quote to not make your post unnecessarily long. When the server's down, we know it's down. Making a new topic each time it's down is plainly spamming, and these threads will be deleted. If you think we haven't noticed at all, please send a PrivateMessage to Orcworm about it.

6.- Allow the Moderators to Do Their Job
We have selected a team of high-quality administrators for our forum, and they are all ready to handle situations. If we wanted you doing so, we'd offer you an administration rank.

7.- Punishments Failure to follow these rules will result in a warning after the first offence. After the second offence, you will receive a one day temporary ban. Any offence from then on will result in an extended temporary ban or a permanent one.
