the cable braiding of mine came undone in a few spots a couple months ago, but it's not terribly noticeable when I'm using it

microphone?
The tritton detonators don't seem all that bad...cheap too. My friend has them and he says they are good for xbox, pc and just headphones (which is what i'm looking for minus the xbox)

Yes that is a microphone

RE: best gaming headset - MrNadapader - 05-15-2012

I was actually looking for a mic that would stick out in front (detachable?) so i can have more control of the volume of my voice rather than have a small mic dangling freely

Siberia V2's

You can hide the mic for music if you would like. Fantastic sound quality.

The other great thing... No need to adjust the size. Auto-fit.

The mic is gonna jam while you have it, I 100% guarantee.

I was thinking something around the logitech G930s (which are cheaper than the g35s for some reason Glare )
If not, i'll go with SS Siberia v2...or something

Let me edit this statement for you.

RE: best gaming headset - MrNadapader - 05-18-2012

what i might do is use my turtle beaches to save money for now, then use my old wireless mic for xbox (which i hardly ever play anymore).
Probably ask for something like audiotechnica ath-m50s or steelseries siberia v2 for my birthday or something (October)

RE: best gaming headset - DoughnutSpanker - 05-18-2012

Just get G35's

you obviously want to

RE: best gaming headset - MrNadapader - 05-18-2012

I have to save money for now...rather get a good computer then a good headset

RE: best gaming headset - MrNadapader - 05-21-2012

Might get one of these: Astro A40, Logitech G930, Trittons(?) SS Siberia v2 and maybe Thermaltake

RE: best gaming headset - SilentProtector - 05-21-2012

I just don't use one
