Yes? No? If not what would you realistically want to spend Gil on instead? At the moment people are just stacking mountains of the stuff which isn't very good for anyone.

It's all well and good saying 'no' and nothing else Jarvis but there's not much point in a currency if people just trade it between themselves and stockpile it. IMO it's not the best situation for people to be sat at 40k gil with essentially nothing to do with it.
And like I said, depends what people would realistically spend it on. Obviously the commands that Donators receive would be unavailable.

Purchase things like, a smoke effect, which gives you a smoke effect, ik theres a plugin for it, and sell things like "god swords" which are swords with sharpness V Fire aspect II knockback II ect.
same for bows and armour, ofc very expencive, and also make a repair shop, its basicly a npc that when you right click repairs your enchanted armour for a cost, so you dont have to keep on buying new fortune picks ect.

The repair part here is included in MCmmo do why dont we instead try and get some more Idk rpg'ish plugins. It will for certain draw more players, pluss more to spend gil on. Also then you get a Better goal to reach. For example become master repairer etc. The mcmmo plugin have become much more detailed and balanced since whenever we used it last. Also maybe add towny or some kind of plugin to get like a city score, and Also then u get more people can spend gil at. Also u get more rpg'ish feeling ;p (yes i love rpg, but to a certain degree)
